Halcyon

Halcyon began in the 1990’s when a group of divers passionate about their sport, couldn’t find gear to the exact specifications they wanted and decided to create their own. Officially founded in 1999 in Florida, the group of friends with extensive diving experience and a range of backgrounds including academia, manufacturing and consulting the group realised their needs to increase dive comfort were not unique.

The principle of Halcyon exists to ensure all divers can get the absolute best experience from their diving, and aims to accomplish this through equipment that is simple to use, yet is unique and of an incredibly high quality.

With in house design, prototype and fabrication, new equipment was developed and tested often within days of the initial ideas.

Many of Halycon’s designs have been copied throughout the industry, they were the first company to create a donut shaped buoyancy device (or wing) for double tanks.

The ever-popular Halcyon Infinity™ system redefined buoyancy compensators and created a new standard with its signature design and Cinch™ Quick-adjust (patent pending) which has infinite adjustability with a simple push or pull of the webbing.
