PADI Specialty Course Manual: Emergency Oxygen Provider
Some scuba diving illnesses are treatable with oxygen. In this course you will learn to recognise these and how to administer the necessary oxygen. Should a fellow diver show signs of a dive injury, e.g. decompression sickness, you will be able to offer them help.
This course’s content covers assembling and disassembling of emergency oxygen equipment, deploying a non-rebreather mask and a demand inhalator valve on a breathing diver and using a pocket mask on a non-breathing diver.
The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Course (60326) is open to everyone. Scuba divers and snorkelers, as well as anyone else who is around divers, this includes boat crew, lifeguards, etc., will benefit from this training.
