The Garmin Descent Mk2i is the premium model in the Garmin Mk2 series, allowing this computer to pair with a SubWave sonar wireless integrating air transmitter and an optional rugged but elegant Titanium band.
Since the release of the Descent Mk1, air integration has been one of the few missing features. By adding a wireless transmitter, Garmin offers one of the best recreational, tek, and CCR dive computers to the market. The Mk2i is not only a dive computer but one of the most advanced smartwatches as well, as one of Garmin's specialties is to develop fitness and sports watches. Mk2i features multi-sport fitness functions, including GPS, heart rate, and pulse oxygen sensor, which data are used to adjust your decompression time (if the computer is directly in contact with bare skin).
Heavy-duty case, 3-axis compass, Subwave sonar-based wireless transmitter technology, and ABC sensors are a few of the innovations of the Mk2 series from its original Descent Mk1, maintaining, of course, the Bluetooth smartphone connection technology to share and download data between your phone and watch.
The only difference between the Mk2 and Mk2i is the optional addition of wireless air integration by using the Garmin T1 Transmitter, supporting up to 5 transmitters in a range of up to 10 metres of distance. Unlike most transmitters on the market that use radio frequency, Garmin has developed SubWave sonar-based technology, which travels better through water, improving transmission range.
The Mk2i won't disappoint you, neither in water than on land, with multi-GNSS support you won't lose orientation and it will mark your entry and exit diving points, multi sports apps to keep you fit, wrist-based heart rate monitoring, Pulse Ox sensor, advanced training features as VO2 Max and Recovery Time, Garmin Pay for contactless payments, great music storage, smart notifications and much more to support your active lifestyle!
