The Atomic Aquatics TFX Regulators are engineered with an unconventional front exhaust regulator design, in order to create the most effortless breathing regulator for all diving positions.
Compared to the traditional rear exhaust regulators, the TFX breathing performance is enhanced by reducing inhalation effort, thanks to its unique design which consists in positioning the exhaust valve in the centre of the inhalation diaphragm and mounting both in the front of the regulator.
This feature also allows breathing in extreme diving positions, such as looking upwards, as the exhaust valve and diaphragm are positioned exactly at the same level with no pressure differential, this way any water will collect at the exhaust valve and be exhaled with each breath, providing superior dryness. Also the water column effect is minimal in the TFX as the diaphragm is not higher than the mouthpiece, as in conventional regulators.
The unique case architecture of the TFX design is created in order to find an innovative way to route the exhaust from the front of the regulator to the rear. Form follows function with the flexible front purge cover and extended soft silicone rubber exhaust deflectors that route bubbles away from the diver’s field of view.
The TFX is fabricated with many iconic Atomic Aquatics materials, such as all-titanium first and second stage metal components, and performance features as the Venturi nozzle and the comfort swivel hose.
